What Is A Process FMEA Risk Priority Number?

RPN = SEV x OCC x DET. Although this calculation was widely used by many people for many years to prioritize which risk issues defined by the Process FMEA should be worked on, the Risk Priority Number has many weaknesses and should not be used.

Rich has introduced FMEA's for a new product development project I have been working on. His training of the method and the usage of his software was very clear and easy to follow.
