Using Quality Plus™ For Design Improvement
Class teaches students how to use Quality Plus™ Software to implement design improvement techniques learned in the Introduction to Structured Design Improvement class.
Class Objectives
Teach students:
- How to create a Design FMEA (DFMEA) and Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) for a new product when a similar product does not already exist in the data base;
- How to create a Design FMEA (DFMEA) and Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) for a new product from an existing product in the data base;
- The many ways the data can be used including field problem solving and design change evaluation;
- How to use the data entry power functions of Quality Plus™ to save time in data entry.
Suggested Attendees
This class is for anyone who will be using Quality Plus™ to create System FMEA's (SFMEA), Design Validation Plan & Reports (DVPR), Design FMEA's (DFMEA) and Design Verification Plan & Reports (DVP&R).
Prerequisites
Introduction to Design Improvement Class.
Facility Requirements
Each student should have their own computer. Computers should have Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT or XP installed with a minimum of 32 MB Ram, 100 MB Hard Drive Space and 100 MHZ speed. Computer display must have a minimum of 1024x768 resolution.
Class Duration
The total duration for the class is one day. The class is approximately 20% instruction and 80% application exercises.
