My APQP Software has several links between the Process FMEA (PFMEA) and Control Plan. How do I know if the links are correct?
There are two common mistakes found in APQP packages which attempt to link the Process FMEA to the Control Plan. The first mistake is when entries in the Process Characteristic column of the Control Plan are placed in the Failure Mode column of the Process FMEA (PFMEA). The second mistake is when the controls from the Prevention and/or Detection columns of the Process FMEA (PFMEA) are placed in the Control Methods column of the Control Plan.
